(Ephrata, PA) 12/28/2009 - Astro Machine Works, Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom machinery, fabricated components and precision machined products has achieved registrar certification of its quality management system to the standards of ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management Systems - Requirements) and SAE-AS9100B (Quality Management Systems — Aerospace - Requirements). The AS9100B standard incorporates the ISO 9001:2008 International Quality Management System requirements, as well as the specific requirements associated with the aerospace industry.

The certification is intended to ensure customer satisfaction through a self-managed, continuous improvement approach to product quality assurance. Astro's quality initiative raises the corporate bar for internal quality standards and objectives, thereby creating the highest levels of customer satisfaction and product value.
